Military schools are a traditional and well reputed part of America’s education system, and an excellent gateway towards a military career. Military Schools are typically privately owned and operated prep schools modeled after the United States military based colleges and universities, such as West Point. Nowadays, a military school is both a popular and selective alternative to ordinary schooling. They are popular among young people willing to experience military values and structure, a high-level athletic program and perhaps to go on with a military career in the future. Military schools are also popular among parents who feel that their son/daughter needs this particular kind of education. But a military school is also a selective institution. Very few of them (if any) will accept students who refuse to join, and rule breaking may lead to expulsion just like anywhere else.
