STUDENT CARD
There are several student cards. It can be a card where you can pay with, like a student credit card or a student debit card. But there are also student cards which give you a discount.
Student Credit Card – Student Debit Card
A college student credit card is a standard Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express Card. There is typically a limited credit line ($500 - $1000) assigned initially and to open the account often requires a parent to cosign (i.e. agree to be the responsible party should you not be able to pay an outstanding balance).
A student debit card is a prepaid Visa or MasterCard that does not require a parental cosigner if the student is at least 18 years old. These prepaid debit cards offer a host of advantages to those with little or no credit history and are accepted anywhere that is served by Visa and MasterCard. There is no credit check to apply and the cards can be funded and reloaded through the phone, in person, at ATMs or over the internet. These cards are just a plastic form of your own money as opposed to short-term borrowing instruments, like credit cards.
Student Discount Cards
To enable you to take advantage of the special student/youth fares that we offer, you must have either an ISIC card (International Student Identity Card) or an IYTC card (International Youth Travel Card). Both of these cards will be issued immediately by us upon completion of a simple form. To get one of these student cards you will also need to give a proof of student status and a passport sized photograph to the organization where you can apply for one of these cards. Both cards have many benefits, like reductions on flights and many other products and services
ISIC
ISIC student cards are issued to students studying for a minimum of fifteen hours per week and cost seven pounds. The cards are valid from August until the end of December the following year. The student card has many additional benefits. The student card benefits include discounted international telephone calls and free e-mail anywhere in the world etc. The student card also gives discount entry to many places of historical interest worldwide.
IYTC
Youth cards are available to anyone under the age of 26 years. As with the ISIC student card there are also many extra benefits which are similar to the ISIC card benefits.
