Applications
Everyone in possession of a Smartphone, a facebook page or probably even just an internet connection has heard of applications. An application can easily be accessed through an internet connection. One of the greatest advantages of applications is that you don’t have to download and install any software or have to run updates. This is because apps (abbreviation of application) operate via an online platform that you can access by a web browser.
So, with apps being all the craze, we at Student.net couldn’t be lagging behind. We created a QR code generator. Now, whats a QR code generator and why would I want to generate my own QR code?
A quick response code (QR code) is a two-dimensional code readable by barcode readers and mobile phones with a camera. With a QR code generator you can generate your own QR code consisting of black modules on a white background in the form of a square. When you scan the code with your mobile phone, you receive the information that is encoded by you. You just have to type the text, URL or other data that you want to show to people when they scan the code, et voila c’est ca! The code generated will look like this.
Why would you want to generate your own QR code? Simple, it’s a very easy way to quickly exchange information and have it saved right away on your cell phone. You can, for example, use the QR code for invitations, having your friends scan the code so they receive all the information they need to enter the party! See the example invitation below:
