Just recently, President George Bush once again reminded the congress about the implementation of No child left behind education law. President Bush, emphases that children must be protected their rights to gain educational learning. In which, it gives opportunity to the children to received good standard of student services in the different schools. The President encourages the congress to continually monitor the educational system in their nation by conducted several educational institution check up and the requirement of a monthly progress report of the students. The implementation of this law is applicable to the nursery and grade school student.

The main purpose of conducting school check up is to find out if a certain school is giving a good quality of student services to their student community. In which, the government can be able to see if the education system are well distributed to the different students.

The requirement of monthly progress report of the students will give a glimpse regarding the student status in their nation. The report provides more focus on the efficiency regarding math and reading aspect. China has been known for its fast growing economic status. It can’t be denied that the China nation had been continually improving. As well, China also gives opportunities for foreign students especially African students who want to study in their nation. It has been observe that there are several African students in the student community in China. As the year goes on, the population rate keeps on increasing until it arrives to 3,737 African students.

Most of these African college students in China get a career education in the field of medicine, economic, business, management, technology and other more. African students are encouraged to pursue their higher education because of the two main reasons. The first reason is that, they see China’s nations as an advance and productive nation in terms of technology and as being a competitive nation. The second reason is the warm relationship between China and Africa’s nations. It is very evident because there are several Chinese businesses that are established in African’s nation.

The establishment of Chinese firm or businesses in Africa gives employment opportunities for the African individuals to gained work. In which, these is also the reason why African students are more eager to pursue their higher education in China. Future Teachers in Indiana Receive Scholarship Grants

INDIANA – The US Department of Education announced Monday it is giving scholarship grant to students who wish to become teachers in school districts that are lacking for teaching force due to increase in enrollees. The department admitted the demand for education teachers in many areas since the increase in annual enrollees were seen to be a cause for alarm. Jay Gatrell, associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences said its high time now the US education department should address the problem. He said the first batch of scholars will be awarded in March 2008.

The student beneficiaries of the scholarship grant will be awarded $6,000 for two years and they are going to use the fund during their junior and senior year in college. “One of the requirements set by the US education department is that the scholar after getting his license in teaching must teach in high-need-schools for several years,” Gatrell stressed adding that this is the basic requirement that must be adhered to by the student-applicants if they wish to get the grant. In a statement released Monday by Indiana State University (ISU) it said that the school was able to get a total award of $532,000 to finance the education scholarship of the future teachers of the country who are very deserving to get the special education scholarship.

Gatrell said if the education funds will not be used in three years it will be taken back by the US education department though it is given to all colleges and universities in the country. “We should it otherwise it will be taken back to us,” the associate dean said. Gatrell said the grant can fully help deserving students to finish their studies and become professional teachers in the future. They should grab this opportunity because this can give them rewarding career in the future as teaching professionals. “This is a good and very competitive grant. Applicants should see this very good opportunity or else they will lose this,” Gatrell said.

As a result of this announcement, many students are now showing their interest to apply for the scholarship grants. Many schools and universities are also interested to give the grant to their deserving students.

Students Should Learn the Value of Education

Many students nowadays are slowly getting lost of the importance of education into their daily lives. While there students who focused themselves on education there are other students that are not interested to finish college or pursue a career education maybe for lack of enough knowledge. The student community in many colleges are also faced with the new challenges in education brought about by many developments in the world we have today.

While these developments are very helpful in many other ways, this also have bad impact on some students. These developments pose danger to the supposed continuing education of many students because they are badly influenced. The only thing we can conclude for this matter is that while developments can help us there are also other factors of it that may also harm us in other ways and this what happens to some students.

For this situation, the Plano Independent Schools District (PISD) is assistng the students to be able to monitor their activities as well as guide them become more focused on education rather than being influenced by lots of temptations outside the school premises. The PISD is a kind of student resource program revised from the general education program for students. Dr. Christie Duke, PISD assistant director said this special education program would eventually refocused back the students to make education among their important concerns while they’re young and can easily digest whatever developments in education.

Duke said they even have some re-alignment of the curriculum to meet the demands and to be able to make this particular method as their best tool to fight against the gradual lost of focused to education by many students. Duke is honing on the word “ableism” as a general role to re-focused the gradual lost of focused on some students. The ableism approach, Duke said, would be able to give impact on the solutions of this problem currently faced by students.

Joint Educational Operation

Over the past decade the governance of the Florida focuses the importance of quality of education to every level. No wonder that every educational institution in Florida keeps on improving their educational system especially in the college level. In obtaining a college degree, it entails lot of knowledgeable and skillful professor in order to nurture the minds of the students. In line with this, the two educational institution in Florida joint together in order to retain the goal and mission of quality of education to every students residing in this state.

This coming January 2008, the Hodges University will be offering a bachelor’s degree in management at Florida Keys campuses. With the interview of Terry McMahan the Hodges University President, He stated he was very grateful to the staff and students of Florida Keys Community for the opportunity that was given to them.

Hodges University also plans out to give a baccalaureate and graduate program to the Key West College. As well, the Hodges University will offer program acceleration to the students who want to finish their course immediately. The program acceleration enables students to obtain twelve credits for five weeks only. In which, only four hours are spent in the classroom discussion while the remaining hours required are completed by the students outside the school zone. It means that only few discussions are taken up and the whole duration of the program will be given to the students to study on their own. This idea provide a good venue to the students to have more time to their self and do whatever they want to do. Aside from the plan of opening a program acceleration and business management course in the Keys West College, Hodges University school management was also hoping that they could also offer courses of Interdisciplinary Studies. In which, they could finalize it at after they a gain a good result of the joint teaching of business courses in Key West College.

Hodges University school management also plans to hire more faculty personnel’s in order to teach business management courses at the Key West College and to monitor the impact of these joint teaching. In line with these the Hodges University plan to offer a financial assistance and trainings to the personnel that will be assisting on this joint project.

With the involvement of Hodges University school management in Florida Keys Community College it was predicted that more students are interested to enroll in Florida Keys College School. The school management of both schools maintains their positive view regarding on this joint teaching program. It’s really ironic to think the possibility of coming up a joint program from different schools. This program provides a good start of establishing a good relationship between the two educational institutions.

Good Study Habits

College life is a very crucial stage of learning. It needs time and money in order to finish the degree courses. College education is in deep study of a certain field in commerce, nursing, engineering, philosophy, art, sciences, and technology. This learning level is a preparatory stage for one’s future career. The students will be equip with knowledge and skills in their chosen field of study. No wonder,that the educational set up for college students is quite harder. The concepts, principles and application are much complicated. As well, college education requires a lot of things to accomplish. Accomplishing a lot of things can sometimes lead to brain drain and stress especially if the exams fast approaching. In which, there are several things to study about. To avoid cramming and stressful preparation for the exams or other requirements, a student must develop the time management skills and good study habits.

The concept of time management skills and good studying habits was supported by Sally Dreier. Sally Dreier is the current program coordinator of the University’s Study Skills Center. According to Sally Dreier, having a good study habits and time management can avoid the occurrence of stress in one’s self. The two aspect must go along in order to come up a good result during the examination’s.

Sally Dreier, also emphasizes the importance of taking down notes and the organization of the notes that was done. According to her, taking down notes during class lessons can be useful upon studying or reviewing the past lesson in preparation for the exams. As well, organized note taking is also necessary in order to avoid confusion and easy tracking for the previous lessons.

The core of having a good study habits is to create a plan upon studying in order to make the review flow smoothly. Sally Dreier suggested some steps in order to come have a good study system for the students.

  1. Gather the notes that are covered for the upcoming exam. If there are missing notes, the students must ask their teacher or classmate for a copy.
  2. Reading and familiarizing the concepts and principle are necessary in order to recall the lessons easily.
  3. Get involve or join a study group session for referrals if there are some things that you don’t understand.
  4. Focus on reviewing the lessons.
  5. Drink a lot of water while reviewing the lesson. Water can be helpful in increasing the oxygen flow of the brain.
  6. Eat healthy foods and avoid eating junk foods and caffeine. In which, junk foods and caffeine content foods can saps the brain cells.
  7. Have lots of sleep. Your brain must need to rest as well the body in oder to function well.

These factors can be helpful in coming up a good study habit. Just to set a time for studying. It is also advisable to review the lesson daily not just for upcoming exams. Reviewing the lessons daily can obtain internalization of things. As well, it obtains easy recall of the lessons that have taken up.

AMA Supports Reinstatement of Student Medical Loan

Senators Richard Burr and Johnny Isakson are now pushing for a legislation reinstating the student medical loan which is also supported by the American medical Association (AMA). The students are happy with this development because the plan of the two senators is for the permanent reinstatement of the loan program. This plan came as the government is predicting an 85,000 shortage of physicians in 2020. Many students pursuing medical profession welcome this development, saying the move is very positive and for their advantage being the direct beneficiaries of the program once it get reinstated by the passing of the legislation. The student community is also very positive of helping the program successfully passed in the Senate house.

AMA has also shown strong support because they have also seen this as among the best solutions it can offer to the problems that may hit the country if it continues to disregard it by not instituting some measures. AMA also thanked the good leadership shown by the two senators because they have also seen this future problem if not given utmost concern. AMA already sent a special letter to the good senators thanking their worthwhile accomplishment for education. AMA also told the senators for their full support for the immediate passage of the bill. Helping the medical students by way of financing their education through a medical loan is really great advantage, according to AMA’s Chris DeRienzo.

DeRienzo said a medical student these days usually graduate with $139,000 in debt, making it very difficult to pay in the process. This bad scenario for medical graduates also tantamount to giving up for the many years it was strong and cannot be simply disturb by mere debt problems because they aren’t big enough.

With the two senators legislation it will pave the way for the permanent restoration the deferment of the program.
